Woodmen of the World donates American flag

Local members of Woodmen of the World proudly watched as an American flag was hoisted up a new flagpole at Gilchrist County EMS/Fire Station 5 on December 20.
Several Gilchrist County commissioners, firefighters and rescue personnel were on-hand for the dedication ceremony.

Gilchrist County paramedic Danny Elkins helped secure the new American flag to the pole and raised it.
Tommy Langford, chairman of the Gilchrist County Board of County Commissioners, thanked the Woodmen of the World for donating the flag pole, flag and commemorative plaque, which states: “In honor and remembrance of the heroes and victims in the fight against terrorism and to celebrate the enduring spirit of all Americans.”
