The Sons of Confederate Veterans, John Hance O’Steen Camp 770 along with the United Daughters of Confederacy Olustee Chapter 2488 and the Children of the Confederacy Black Hawk Cavalry Chapter 856 were honored to donate toys to Arlene Cameron at the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office to be given to children in need.
“Other organizations are helping to collect toys for children, but our camp, with the help of the other chapters, hope to help our local community by working with the Sheriff’s Office,” explained Clement Lindsey, commander of John Hance O’Steen Camp.
