A husband and wife living near Bell were arrested last week after reportedly stealing $764.74 worth of electrical power from Central Florida Electric Cooperative.

Raymond George Campmire, 45, and Audrey Lynn Campmire, 45, both of 4979 NW 55th Avenue in Bell were arrested on November 3 and charged with Grand Theft.
An employee of Central Florida Electric Cooperative reportedly called the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office about the Campmires’ residence.
According to Lt. David Aderholt, investigations commander at the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office, the power had been disconnected at the Campmires’ home as a result of the couple not paying their electric bill. The Central Florida Electric official told the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office that the couple had placed a meter from another power company on the receptacle.
Upon investigation it was determined by Investigator Edwin Jenkins that both the husband and wife were aware of and benefiting from the theft of the electrical services that were fraudulently obtained by use of a meter other than the Central Florida Electric Cooperative one.
According to Lt. Aderholt, it was estimated that the power had been stolen for 55 days.
The Campmires were released from the Gilchrist County Jail on November 4 after posting a combined $1,500 bond.
