Trenton High School Marching Band’s drum major Peter Crane has been selected as one of the top marching band musicians in the nation.
Crane was one of just 97 high school senior marching musicians from across the country to be chosen to perform in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl half-time show on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
“It’s an unbelievable chance to go and play and march with some of the best musicians in the country,” Crane said.

Trenton High School senior Peter Crane is shown with his mother, Robin,
and 2nd Lt. Shoemaker of the U.S. Army.

Nominated during his 11th grade year at Trenton Middle High School, Crane said he submitted an audition tape and several months later he was notified by e-mail that he had been selected.
Though Crane lives in Bell, he has attended Trenton Middle-High School since the sixth grade. A trumpet and french horn player, Crane has played in the school’s marching band for the last six years.
“For the band, the Friday night halftime show is our game,” Crane said. “It’s our chance to show the community what we are working on.”
After graduating from TMHS next year, Crane said he plans to attend college at either Brigham Young University or Washington University. Once at college, Crane says he hopes to major in music performance and follow a pre-med study path.
