Lady Tigers win District 6-1A title

It was a battle to the bitter end, just like the games the Trenton and Bell volleyball teams had played earlier this season. Bell had defeated Trenton in some games, but the Lady Tigers had ended up winning the match.

Trenton escaped with the District 6-1A title on Thursday night after coming from a tied match to take the crown, in a 3 to 2 match.
The match went 25-16, 20-25, 25-14, 17-25 and 20-18 for Trenton in the decisive fifth game. Breanna Stalvey set the pace for the Lady Tigers in the final game with 10 kills and 2 aces. Alexis Hickox had 5 kills, 8 digs and 6 blocks. Danyal Langford led the Tigers with 21 assists. Derrelon Williams had 12 blocks and 6 kills in the game. The Lady Tigers will host Hamilton County on Tuesday, Nov. 8 in a regional semifinals match beginning at 7 p.m. Bell will travel to Mayo to take on Lafayette in a regional match.
