D and D Haunted Halls started as a family just wanting to put on a small haunted house to attract people in our tiny town of Bell and celebrate our favorite holiday. Though it started small, the haunted house soon became a widely known and attended attraction at our previous location on CR 340. The masterminds behind the whole thing were brother and sister, Norman Davis and Debbie Deleonardo, with the help of their spouses, children, and friends. As the years passed, the haunted house grew in size while the attendees grew in numbers. After 10 years on CR 340, due to unpredicted circumstances, the attraction could no longer be held at the CR 340 location; so brother and sister split and Norman Davis ventured on his own to move the attraction to the Bell Community Center. With the help of many loyal actors and builders, Norman opened D and D Haunted Halls’ first attraction in Bell in October of 2009.

From the very beginning on CR 340 to present day at the Bell Community Center, all the proceeds have gone to various charities. This year the proceeds are going to the Bell imagination library, a foundation that helps supply children with books to help expand their minds from birth to the age of 5.
All actors and builders devote their time purely by volunteering. Each year Norman has tried to base the attraction on a theme. Last year was Psych Ward and a haunted ship-wreck. This year, Norman has gone all out for the theme of Aliens and Zombies. The Davis family has even gone as far as mother, Ramona Davis, learning to do prosthetics and make-up to lend to the effect of the flesh eating zombies. But it’s not all scare-you-out-of-your-wits around D and D Haunted Halls. Since moving to the Bell Community Center, Norman has set up a smaller, less scary attraction for younger kids to attend. Last year on Halloween the kiddy attraction gave out balloons with D and D Haunted Halls signature on it and candy.
This year, as with the haunted house, the kiddy attraction has been taken up a notch. On Halloween night there will be free games, prizes, and candy for all children who attend. We even have entertainment for those waiting in line, Debbie Destin of Destin Dance Studio and her dancers will be performing a zombie thriller dance.
All of us at D and D Haunted Halls would like to thank our volunteer actors, attendees to the haunted house, the Bell Town Council, and Mr. Dan Cavannah for all their help and support in putting on this attraction each year.
