Trenton Tigers gear up for “Homecoming Around the World”

“Homecoming Around the World” at Trenton Middle-High School will highlight various countries as students gear up for a week-long celebration October 17-21.
A number of activities are scheduled leading up to the homecoming game, which will pit the Trenton Tigers against the P.K. Yonge Blue Wave on Friday, October 21, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Each grade level was given a country to decorate their parade float around and prepare a Tiger Growl skit for: 5th grade – China, 6th grade – Greece, 7th grade – Spain, 8th grade – Africa, 9th grade – Brazil, 10th grade – France, 11th grade – America, and 12th grade – Australia.
Spirit days are as follows: Monday is Wacky Tacky Tourist Day, Tuesday is Airport Security or Neon Day, Wednesday is Grade Level Theme Day and Thursday is Orange Crush Day.

Due to Friday, Oct. 21, being a Teachers Work Day, the traditional homecoming parade has been moved to Thursday, Oct. 20, at 2 p.m. The parade will begin at Trenton Elementary School and come down CR 307A before turning onto Main Street.
Tiger Growl will also be held on Thursday, Oct. 20, beginning at 7:30 p.m. on the high school football field. Tickets can be purchased at the gate for $1.
The week long homecoming festivities will lead up to the crowning of the 2011 Trenton High School Homecoming King and Queen during halftime of the Tigers’ football game on Friday night.
Homecoming king contestants are Lee Deen, Levi Sprague, Brandon Stone, and Jacob Turner.
Homecoming queen candidates are Sunny Gray, Hannah Green, Allie Lang and Breanna Stalvey.
Homecoming attendants representing grades 5 to 11 are: 5th grade-Chesney Overstreet, 6th grade-Ayla Thomas, 7th grade-Adasyn Overstreet, 8th grade-Ginger Deen, 9th grade-Kiara Donaldson, 10th grade-Amanda Gordon, 11th grade-Shelby Bunting, and 12th grade-Charisse Matthews.
