2010 Relay For Life
will be held in Trenton

The 2010 Tri-County Relay For Life will be held on May 7, 2010 at the Trenton Middle-High School track.
An annual event that draws teams from Gilchrist and Levy Counties, the local Relay For Life represents that those who lost their battle with cancer will not be forgotten, and those who are fighting cancer will be supported. In an effort to see that cancer will one day be eliminated, last year’s event raised $22,400 for the American Cancer Society, which will be used to fight cancer.
A kick off for the 2010 Relay will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22 at the Trenton Community Center. Former teams, new teams, survivors, caregivers, and everyone in the community is invited to attend.

Fundraising for the 2010 event is already underway. A silent auction table has been set up inside the Gilchrist County Courthouse. Ameris Bank’s Relay For Life team is selling portrait packages for children and/or families at a cost of $9.95.
