Powell sworn in as member of the Florida Bar

Last Thursday, Sept. 22, at the Gilchrist County Courthouse, Joy L. Powell was sworn in as a member of the Florida Bar. The Honorable Edward Philman, Gilchrist County Judge, administered the oath of admission to Joy in front of her family, friends, and colleagues. Her grandfather, retired Dixie County Judge Marshall M. Clements, held the Bible where she placed her hand during the recitation of the oath.

Joy received her Juris Doctor in May 2011 from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. She previously received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a history minor from the University of Florida. She is a 2005 graduate of Bell High School.
Joy is the daughter of Tim and Lori Powell of Bell and the granddaughter of Marshall and Frances Clements of Cross City and Ethan and Audrey Powell of Bell. She is currently working with Mark J. Feather, P.A. in Trenton.
