Bell prepares for “Wacked Out Homecoming!”

The 2011-12 Bell High School Student Government Association is proud to announce this year’s homecoming with a theme of “Wacked Out Homecoming!” will kick off on Monday, Oct. 3.
“The BHS Student Government Association is excited about this year’s homecoming, and we hope to see everyone there supporting our Bulldogs!” said Sara Ford, SGA reporter. “We promise that it is going to be “wacky!”’

A number of activities are scheduled leading up to the homecoming game, which will pit the Bell Bulldogs against the Hilliard Flashes on Friday, Oct. 7.
Spirit days are as follows: Monday will be Fanatical Fan Day, Tuesday is Bring It Backward Day, Wednesday is Wacky Wednesday, Thursday will be the official “Hurt Hilliard” Day where students will have the chance to dress in the red and white school colors of the Hilliard Flashes while wearing bandages, crutches and head wraps. Friday will be Super Spirit Day, giving Bell students the opportunity to show off their purple and gold pride.

Bulldog Growl will be held on Thursday, Oct. 6, at the Iris Roberts Auditorium beginning at 6:30 p.m. Admission will be $1 per person. Children ages 5 and under will be free.
Festivities will continue on Friday afternoon at the Bell High School homecoming parade, which will be held at 1:45 p.m. Line-up will start at 1:15 p.m.
The 2011 Homecoming king and queen will be crowned during pre-game festivities, beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
Homecoming king contestants are Talon Rolling, James Oslager, Jeremey Zimmerman, Abdul Mkuu and Austin Bell.
Homecoming queen candidates are Kristen Dennis, Preslee Sanders, Brooke Hilliard, Jessie Sanders and Courtney Diamond.
Homecoming attendants representing grades 6 to 11 are: 6th grade-Emma Brady and Hunter Cox; 7th grade-Taylor Mauldin and AJ Horne; 8th grade prince and princess candidates are: Hayley Holcome, Kira Lyell, Shelby Geiger, Branden Thomas, Gabriel Carranza and Bobby Fowler; 9th grade-Raychel Thomas and Christian Whiting; 10th grade-Cassidy Hodge and Justin Terry; 11th grade-Aundrea Wood and Hunter Langford. The homecoming game will follow at 7:30 p.m. in the Bone Yard. The traditional homecoming dance will start after the game at 9 p.m. and run until 11:30 p.m. in the BHS Cafeteria.
