The Trenton home of Melissa Bryant was devastated by fire last Thursday afternoon.
Gilchrist County Fire Rescue was called to the fire on 7600 SE County Road 232 at 2:49 p.m. Firefighters arrived on scene at 3:05 p.m. and found the mobile home fully engulfed in flames with the roof collapsing near the front door.

According to Fire Captain Billy Careccia the fire was under control within 20 minutes. The Bryant home was so badly damaged by the fire that the state fire marshal could not determine what started the fire, only that it began in the living room. The Bryant family reportedly suffered $30,000 in property loss and $20,000 in contents. Since the fire, the Bryants have been staying with family.
