Fall at the Lodge will benefit Haven Hospice

By Carrie A. Mizell

Though the air outside is far from crisp, it will not put a damper on the festive atmosphere Saturday evening, as the Gilchrist Club hosts Fall at the Lodge.

Gaming was very popular among guests at the 2009 Haven Hospice benefit,
Fall at the Derby, which was held near Bronson.

An annual benefit for Haven Hospice, Fall at the Lodge offers a country-casual evening with southern cuisine, fun festivities including clay shoots, gaming and crab racing as well live entertainment from the Shelton Irwin Band. A live and silent auction will also be held. Notable items up for bids include a signed guitar from Trenton’s own Easton Corbin, as well as hotel stays and Gator memorabilia. Festivities will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Gilchrist Club, which is located at 3290 SE 4th Way, Trenton. According to Jenni Williams of Haven Hospice, 100 percent of the proceeds from Fall at the Lodge will support patient care, services, and many other programs provided by Haven Hospice that otherwise would go unfunded. Tickets for the event are available at all Drummond Bank locations at a cost of $75 per ticket.
As of Monday, 300 tickets had already been sold, explained Stephanie Brod of Haven Hospice.
