Judge Ed Philman to retire

It has been an honor and privilege to have served as your Gilchrist County Court Judge since January, 1989. I have always done my best to give each case personal consideration and be fair and impartial.
In my only contested election, the Gilchrist County voters re-elected me to this current term of office. I will always remember and appreciate the support and kindness shown to me both during the election and during the 23 years I have served as your County Judge. As much as I enjoy my work, I will not be seeking re-election, and my last day in office will be December 31, 2012. Thank you friends, supporters and family for allowing me to serve Gilchrist County in the position of County Court Judge and for the faith you have had in me.
