25-year-old arrested after stealing from elderly grandmother

A Gainesville woman has been arrested and charged with stealing from her Bell grandmother.
Jaquelyn Faye Douglas, 25, of Gainesville was arrested on Friday and charged with Grand Theft and Exploitation of the Elderly.
According to Lt. David Aderholt of the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office, Douglas allegedly made at least nine fraudulent ATM withdrawals from the Capital City Bank in Bell on her grandmother’s account between March and June of 2010.
Each fraudulent transaction was $300, for a total theft of $2,700.
Douglas reportedly withdrew the money without the knowledge or permission of her grandmother and had secretly taken the card before each transaction and then would replace the card after making the withdrawal.On Saturday, Douglas was released from the Gilchrist County Jail on her own recognizance.
