Iris Roberts honored for 20 years of service

By John M. Ayers

Mrs. Iris Roberts was honored for her dedicated service to the citizens of Bell last week during a very special meeting of the Bell Town Council.

Tom Conley of the Florida League of Cities presented Mrs. Iris with a resolution recognizing her as an elected official who has given outstanding service and leadership at the age of 98 years young.
Mrs. Iris, who is the president and presiding officer over the Bell Town Council, is a remarkable lady and has truly been a leader in this community for many years.
After the presentation, the meeting was called to recess so those in attendance could thank Mrs. Iris for her years of service and fellowship while enjoying cookies and punch that were prepared by town staff.
