Inaugural ribbon cut at Drummond’s new Bell branch

Despite the heat and a pending rain shower, a large crowd gathered beneath a white tent last Tuesday afternoon to celebrate the grand opening of Drummond Community Bank’s newest location in Bell.

Guests were invited to tour the bank, which is located at 1879 North Main Street in Bell.
Scott Guthrie will oversee operations at both the Trenton and Bell branches.
On Tuesday, Guthrie said he was extremely pleased with the number of people who attended the gathering, and he felt like the new branch received a warm welcome from the Bell community.
Julie Thomas of Simply Delightful catering prepared a variety of hors d’oeuvres and punch for the event.
Kyle Stone, executive director of the Gilchrist County Chamber of Commerce, commented on how exciting it is to see new businesses coming into Bell.
“Our economic future is brighter as new businesses come into the county,” Stone said. “It indicates that the economy is turning around.”
The lobby of Drummond Community Banks’s Bell office will be open Monday - Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Drive thru hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays.
