Republican Paul Watson to challenge Debbie Boyd for House seat

Submitted

On Friday Republican Paul Watson announced that he has officially launched his campaign for Florida House of Representatives, District 11.
As a long-time resident of Gilchrist County and the Pastor of Bell Baptist Church, Watson will run an aggressive grassroots campaign to show voters that a new brand of leadership is needed for District 11.
“Our nation and Florida are facing challenging and difficult times,” said candidate Paul Watson. “Bailouts, big government, and borrowing against the future of our children are simply not responsible. The voters can count on me to limit spending and higher taxes, and to stand up for the values that have made our nation strong.”
Watson will begin his campaign on a discussion tour with constituents throughout District 11 in which he will be speaking about key issues including: the economy and job growth, taxation and public spending, improving schools, bringing sensible, private-sector driven solutions to healthcare, development of new energy sources, and ethics and values.
Paul Watson grew up in Gilchrist County, is the pastor of Bell Baptist Church and has broad-based relationships with the voters of all six counties represented in District 11.
He is a member of the Gilchrist County Chamber of Commerce. He is active with the Florida Baptist Youth Encampment and volunteers as a coach with the Suwannee Valley League of Gilchrist County.
Paul and his wife Christy and their three children reside in Bell.
