A 17-year-old Old Town driver was charged with careless driving after the vehicle she was driving rolled over in the ditch near the Woodmen of the World building Monday afternoon.

Tara K. Browning-Pattengale incurred minor injuries in the accident. Her passenger, Anita A. Barrow, 38, also of Old Town, also suffered minor injuries in the accident. Two children, ages 10 and 4, were in the 2006 Dodge van when it rolled over on State Road 26 just east of County Road 344A, and they also suffered minor injuries.
According to Trooper Glen Ganus, of the Florida Highway Patrol, Browning-Pattengale was driving west on State Road 26, when for an unknown reason the vehicle traveled off the highway and onto the right shoulder. The driver over corrected, causing the van to come back onto the road, but again it left the roadway on the right side and overturned in the ditch.
The van came to a final stop in the ditch on the right shoulder of State Road 26, facing in a northeasterly direction. All occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
Barrow and the two children were transported to Shands Hospital as a precautionary measure.
