Mobile Food Pantry stops in Bell
Residents of Bell and the surrounding area gathered at the Bell Community Center last Thursday to accept food from the Senior Citizens’ Food Pantry. According to Rick Weder, pantry director, 206 people received food. Fresh produce, frozen meats, and bakery goods were sorted and bagged up by food pantry volunteers who handed out the groceries to those who waited in line. As Weder said, a person does not have to be unemployed to receive food from the Mobile Food Pantry, you just need to show up on distribution days. At press time, dates had not been set for additional Mobile Food Pantry stops this summer. |
