Elizabeth O. Durden, Johnny W. Jones, Kimberly M. Langford, Karen L. Philman, Arthur W. Powers, Rani L. Rhodes and Sue Slaughter have all turned in applications to Florida Governor Rick Scott in hopes of being appointed to fill a seat on the school board. According to Jackie Schutz, deputy press secretary for Governor Scott, applications are still being accepted.
“We intend to make an appointment by the effective date of the resignation, which is November 19, 2012,” Schutz said.
