Church van stolen while awaiting repairs
By John M. Ayers
The Mission Possible Food Bank van that is used by the youth of the Spring Ridge First Church of God was stolen over the weekend from B&J Automotive in Trenton.
The owner of the van, Paul Charron, had taken the 1995 15-passenger F-350 van to the automotive service center for some repair work to be done before the youth begin their mission trip July 9th.

Mr. Charron had taken the van to B&J Automotive on Friday. Billy Rogers, owner of B&J Automotive, had told the owner of the van the parts would be in on Monday and the repair of a rear main seal could be finished that day.
The van was parked in the parking lot behind the service center at 710 North Main St. in Trenton over the weekend.
On Monday, June 22, as the repairs of the van were to begin, a service man went to drive the van into the shop when he discovered it was gone.
The Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office had Deputy Reeves, a K-9 officer, respond to the scene where he filed a stolen vehicle report on the missing van on Monday.
The missing vehicle is described as a 1995 Ford F-350 passenger van with a tag L641NT Florida license through 2010.
The youth of Spring Ridge First Church of God use this vehicle to transport food items to the needy people in the area through the church’s food pantry.
If anyone has information involving this van being seen, they are asked to call the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office at 463-3181.
