A 23-year-old Trenton man, who has reportedly never been in trouble with the law, was arrested last week, along with his mother, for maintaining a drug house and various other charges.
Robert Mathew Andrews, of 17171 NW 75th Avenue, reportedly sold oxycodone to a confidential informant acting on behalf of the Levy County Drug Task Force on five separate occasions from March until May of 2011.
Members of the Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at Andrews’ home last Tuesday, where agents found 22 oxycodone pills, marijuana plants, drug paraphernalia and 12 guns in Andrews’ bedroom. One of the guns found is believed to be an assault rifle that Andrews was armed with during one of the drug transactions and fired 30 rounds in the air from the home’s front porch.

Andrews told officers that he has been living with his mother Debra Spaulding Andrews, 56, for over five years. Over the course of the last year, Andrews said he has been selling his mother pills.
Agents searched Debra Andrews and found two pill pods in her bra containing 83½ pills and marijuana in her bedroom. Debra Andrews confirmed that her son has been selling her oxycodone pills for over a year “to keep a roof over their head.”
Debra Andrews said that she would not sell the pills because she did not want to get into trouble, but they were in a 50/50 partnership. Debra Andrews was arrested for trafficking oxycodone, maintaining a drug dwelling and possession of marijuana less than 20 grams.
At first appearance, Robert Andrews received a $421,000 bond and Debra Andrews was issued a $101,000 bond. Both were being held in the Levy County Jail at press time.
