Chiefland residents arrested after K-9 sniffs out cocaine in their car

Two Chiefland residents were arrested and charged with possession of cocaine early Saturday morning after they were stopped for speeding near the Gilchrist/Levy county line.

Bobby Hurst, 25, of Chiefland was reportedly driving a white Oldsmobile at a high rate of speed on US 129 near the Levy County line when he was pulled over by a Gilchrist County K-9 deputy. During the traffic stop, Deputy Reeves’ K-9, Yo-Yo alerted on the vehicle indicating to the deputy that drugs were possibly inside the car.
A search of the vehicle and its occupants, Hurst and his passenger, Lindsey Fisk, 25, also of Chiefland, led deputies to seize five and a half grams of cocaine.
Also seized was $335 in cash and the vehicle.
Bobby Hurst and Lindsey Fisk were both arrested and transported to the Gilchrist County Jail for booking. Hurst was charged with Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Sell and his bond was set at $50,000. Fist was charged with Possession of Cocaine. Her bond was set at $10,000.
