Memorial Day service will be held May 31

This Memorial Day, please take time out to attend a ceremony and honor those who so bravely fought and gave their lives in defense of our nation.
Memorial Day services will be conducted in Trenton on the south side of the courthouse on Monday, May 31, beginning promptly at 11 a.m.
Participants include addresses by Mr. Harold Mikell, representing WWII veterans and Congressman Allen Boyd, Ms. Jean Clough, representing Congressman Cliff Stearns, Congresswoman Debbie Boyd, and Senator Steve Oelrich. The master of ceremonies will be Mr. Dan Taylor. Our keynote speaker is Retired Army Sergeant Major, Major L. Stroupe, Gilchrist County Veterans Service Officer. The service is sponsored by the Gilchrist County Historical Society and will be followed by a free BBQ chicken luncheon at the nearby Trenton Community Center.
