County’s Business of the Year robbed on Good Friday

The Trenton Police Department is looking for a white male who broke into Best Drugs in Trenton on Friday morning and stole several narcotics, including Oxycodone and Morphine.
Police Chief Billy Smith said that the suspect is believed to be between 5 ft. 2 inches tall and 5 ft. 5 inches tall, and to weigh anywhere from 100 to 110 pounds. In surveillance footage taken at the store, the suspect is shown wearing a baseball cap.
On Tuesday morning, Chief Smith was taking evidence to Jacksonville to get fingerprints off bottles of Schedule 2 narcotics that the suspect reportedly dropped in the parking lot while making his escape.
The suspect entered Best Drugs through a back window at 6:19 a.m. and took a small volume of highly addictive medication, in a robbery that took just six minutes, Chief Smith explained.
Chief Smith believes the suspect attempted to break into the Best Drugs in Newberry prior to the Trenton Best Drugs robbery, but could not get through a metal door located at the back of the Newberry pharmacy.
Anyone with any information on the robbery is asked to call the Trenton Police Department at 463-4010 or Chief Smith directly at 490-1155.
