Brown announces candidacy for county commissioner

Hello, I’m Rodney Brown, candidate for County Commissioner District 3.
Just a little about myself, I was born and raised in Florida. I have lived in the Gilchrist area all my life. My wife, Patty, and I moved from the County Line Grade (Alachua/Gilchrist) to the Bell community four years ago. Patty is employed at the Gilchrist County Schools’ District office.
We have two sons, Barrett (Vicky) and Jerome (Monica) and five grandchildren: Kristin, Hayden, Aubrey, Alaina and Taylor. Our children are graduates of Trenton High School and all our grandchildren attend Gilchrist County schools. We all live in Gilchrist County and I want to help make it a place the next generation wants to live.
I retired from the University of Florida after 30 years. I am also a Veteran of the Armed Forces. I like racing, fishing and hunting. Please vote because every vote counts. Thank you for your time and consideration.
