The 2011 Gilchrist/Levy Relay For Life got off to a great start last week as over 70 participants gathered at the Trenton Community Center for a kickoff party.
Currently, 22 teams have signed up to participate in the 2011 Relay For Life, which will be held at the Trenton High School track on Friday, April 1. More teams are needed!

According to Verna Mae Wilson, $14,000 has been raised so far for this year’s Relay through various fundraisers. Planned fundraisers coming up in February include a Chili Cookoff for the Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office team. The Best Drugs team is planning a book sale and the Gilchrist County Courthouse team is actively holding silent auctions and raffles.
The next Relay For Life party will be held on Feb. 17 at 5:30 p.m. at the Trenton Community Center.
