Thomas seeks re-election as County Commissioner
I am Kenrick D. Thomas, the son of the late Shelton “Perk” Thomas of Bell and Audrey Thomas of Bell. I am married to Carolyn Thomas, the daughter of the late Clark and Muriel Cannon of Bell.
For the past 7 plus years I have been blessed and very fortunate to have served and worked with a team of people that share the same goal as I have: to serve the citizens of Gilchrist County. I told the voters of Gilchrist County 7 years ago, “If elected that I would do the best I could.” I have kept that promise. My signs last time I ran for re-election had three words on it--”Because I Care”; that still stands true.
I can’t tell you if reelected that every decision I make will be the correct one, but I can promise you that whatever decision I make I have always asked God for His help and blessing and I will continue to pray.
In closing I want to say that I have tried to be everything I feel a county commissioner should be. That is to be a servant of the people, not to tell them they can’t do that but to help them accomplish their goal. I support our seniors and students. I make myself available to the public , not just every 7 years but all the time. I stand on my record for the past 7 years. I am the same person the citizens elected 7 years ago. This job had not changed me. I still rely on common sense and prayer.
If you call me I will help if anyway possible. Thank you for your consideration.
Kenrick D. Thomas
County Commissioner, District 5
