Pure Water Wilderness receives donation

Progress Energy has always been a dedicated supporter of Pure Water Wilderness, the Dixie-Gilchrist-Levy Tourism Development Board, and has come through again this year with a matching grant of $4,500.

Bobby Pickels and Denny George, representing Progress Energy, presented the generous check to Donna Creamer, PWW executive director, Kyle Stone, PWW Vice-Chair and Commissioner D. Ray Harrison, Jr. a PWW director last Thursday afternoon.
The money is used as a match to an Enterprise Florida Regional Rural Economic Development Grant. Pure Water Wilderness uses the funds to promote nature and heritage tourism in the tri-county area.
